Andrew J. Bacevich is Professor Emeritus of International Relations and History at Boston University. He is also the founder of the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statesmanship, the author of Washington Rules: America’s Path to Permanent War, The End of American Exceptionalism, The New American Militarism: How Americans are Seduced by War, and American Empire: The Realities and Consequences of U.S. Diplomacy.
